The sun was rising over to the right providing a backdrop of golden light. Really nice and frosty with the remains of a whisper of mist.
This area of the New Forest is called Puckpits Inclosure. This area dates from 1700 and is one of the few places where any of the first planting, made possible by the Inclosures Act of 1698, remains.
